Holding the Collective Class Field

As a Mentor, you are a living extension of the teaching field. Your shifted, grounded presence helps create the conditions in which deep work can happen. We ask that you:

•     Stay shifted and hold the field with care during class

•     Offer support if a student gets activated

•     Model energetic hygiene by taking care of any of your parts that may emerge during class

•     Maintain appropriate professional boundaries by not forming any new dual relationships during the course of the training

•     Watch the time; respect the time container for each class and help students do the same

•     Watch the space; help keep the teaching space clear of clutter

Holding Your Home Group Field
Your home group members will look to you for guidance and support during classes. Between classes we ask that you:

•     Facilitate one home group meeting per month for a total of three meetings (one before October 24, one before November 21, and one before December 12); home groups can be held online at a day and time of your choosing

•     Offer encouragement, presence, and care if a group member is activated or struggling

•     If needed, offer students additional care on a fee-for-service basis

•     Alert Lead Teachers if a student needs additional support beyond what you can provide

Our Commitment to You
Your participation in this role makes a real difference—for your group, for the program, and for the field we are all building together. We hope that you derive real benefits from your time as a home group leader including:

•     Being introduced to the class as an additional source of support, including for one-on-one sessions (offered at your own fee).

•     Deepening your own practice through the act of holding space and teaching.

•     Building client relationships with students who resonate with your work.

As a token of our appreciation we are able to provide you with a stipend of $200 per class.

Thank you and we look forward to having you on the team!
