Limits of Practice
Relational Awakening practices are not a replacement for psychotherapy. These practices help people access expanded states of consciousness. You may experience changes in your level of awareness and/or releases of energy. It is recommended that you have ongoing therapeutic support throughout the training.
Attendance
Please make a commitment to attending the in-person sessions and the online home group meetings. Many teachings will arise out of the group field we create together, and your presence is an essential component! Audio and video recordings of class will not be made available. In addition, the practices you learn are cumulative, if you miss sessions and then return, it will be difficult for you and the group to adjust. Allowances are always made for emergencies or illnesses, so keep us posted if something comes up.
Course Engagement
This training is designed to be interactive and engaging. Everyone will be assigned practices to do either individually or with a partner. The home group meetings are a time for sharing what you’ve learned from the practices, integration and community connection. If you haven’t done the practices, then we all miss out on the learning. Please commit to doing them.
Code of Conduct
We ask for mutual respect among the group. This includes:
Arriving on time to all sessions.
Being prepared for the session, assuming responsibility for your learning, and contributing to the learning of others.
Engaging in discussions with integrity and honesty.
Embracing full spectrum of experience by respecting the dignity and humanity of others.
Maintaining the Group Field
Your clear, grounded presence and participation is essential to the group field we will create. With this in mind, we ask that you not be under the influence of any mind-altering substances (including plant medicine) both during and 48-hours prior to our in-person gatherings.
Creating a Safe Space
We want each of you to feel empowered to use your voice and participate fully. We hope we can create a spirit of belonging by agreeing to the following:
Maintain confidentiality; whatever is spoken in the group, stays in the group.
When sharing, share what you learned, not other people’s personal details.
Respect others by speaking from the “I” perspective.
Take care of yourself in whatever way you need.
Practice your own right to privacy; sharing only what feels right and safe to you.
Practice your freedom of choice. All activities are an invitation not a requirement.
Thank you and we look forward to having you in the group!
